Brand Identity & Extension
Potters Without Kilns was founded in 2013 to help emerging artists and artists in transition find a place to fire their ceramic art so they are able to continue to explore and develop their work. Without access to a kiln recent graduates, emerging artists and artists that are transitioning from one location to another or those who are between jobs will start to lose the very talent the ceramics community needs in order to train and educate future generations.
In this project, I was in charge of conceptualizing and developing the logo mark and brand identity for a non-profit organization providing local potters kiln services. This logo captures the essence of signature carvings at the bottom of works of pottery, the beauty of nature (sunset), and the love for art and community (heart), as well as the initials of the organization (PWK).
